SS-31 is one of the Szeto-Schiller peptides, a family of small, cell-permeable tetrapeptides that concentrate in mitochondria. It binds cardiolipin, a lipid found almost exclusively in the inner mitochondrial membrane that holds the electron transport chain together. Researchers use it to study what happens when that membrane structure is protected under stress.
Szeto (2014, Br J Pharmacol) reviewed how cardiolipin binding is associated with improved electron transport efficiency and reduced reactive oxygen species in preclinical models.
Under the name elamipretide it has been studied in human trials for rare mitochondrial diseases, including primary mitochondrial myopathy and Barth syndrome, making it one of the few mitochondria-targeted peptides with clinical data.
Honest caveat: the findings above come from published laboratory and preclinical research, or from clinical studies of the compound class. They describe what has been studied, not what this product will do.

Yes. SS-31 is the research name; elamipretide is its clinical name.
Cardiolipin, a lipid of the inner mitochondrial membrane that supports the electron transport chain.
The 50 mg vial, at $3.10 per mg.
TrueLabs ships SS-31 from inside Canada with tracking, usually in 2-4 business days, with a batch-specific third-party COA and no customs.
