KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a C-terminal alpha-MSH tripeptide with potent anti-inflammatory properties. Derived from alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, KPV retains the anti-inflammatory activity of its parent molecule while demonstrating exceptional stability and bioavailability in research models.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
KPV inhibits pro-inflammatory signaling by directly entering cells and interacting with inflammatory signaling pathways. It suppresses NF-kB activation and reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines including IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-6.
