Pinealon is a three-amino-acid peptide from Prof. Vladimir Khavinson’s bioregulator research program in St. Petersburg, the same tradition that produced Epithalon. Short peptides of this type are proposed to act at the level of gene expression, an unusual hypothesis that makes them interesting research tools.
Studies from the Khavinson group report reduced oxidative stress and improved cell survival in neuronal cultures and in rodent models of hypoxia.
